Choose a Xero organisation
A Xero account can contain several organisations — separate sets of books, often for separate legal entities. A Yessort connection posts into exactly one, and you choose which.
Under Integrations in your organisation's settings; needs organisation-admin access.
Get this right first time
Documents posted into the wrong organisation are real documents in real books. Removing them is a manual job in Xero, and any that have been reconciled or included in a return are worse than tedious.
Check the name against the entity this Yessort organisation actually trades as before confirming.
Steps
- Open the connection under Integrations.
- Yessort lists the organisations the authorised account can reach.
- Choose the one this connection should post into.
- Confirm.
If only one is listed
Confirm it anyway. The step exists because the choice is consequential, not because it is usually ambiguous.
Several Yessort organisations, several sets of books
Each Yessort organisation has its own accounting connection and its own choice of Xero organisation. A group running three brands out of one warehouse can post each brand into its own books, with no crossover.
Changing it later
Treat it as a fresh setup rather than an edit. Documents already posted stay where they were posted — changing the organisation does not move them, and it should not, since they are real entries someone may already have worked with.
