How printing works
Three steps, and knowing which one has stalled is most of troubleshooting.
The print agent and devices
The print agent is a small application running on a computer at your site — a menubar app on a Mac, a tray app on Windows. It collects print jobs for that site and sends them to your printers.
How printers are found
You do not add printers to Yessort by hand. The agent finds them.
How a printer is chosen
Most print jobs do not say which printer they want. Yessort works it out, and this is the page that explains why something printed where it did.
Label templates
A label template is a label you lay out yourself: a canvas at the size of your labels, with text, barcodes, boxes, lines and images placed where you want them.
Label batches
A label batch is a set of labels queued up to print together — a delivery's worth of product labels, a run of location labels for new shelving.
Courier labels and reprints
Courier labels are not designed by you. They come from the carrier, already made, when you buy them for a parcel.
