How routing works
Routing decides which site fulfils each line of an order. The result becomes the order's fulfilment groups — one per site.
Rule sets and versions
A rule set is your organisation's routing configuration: an ordered list of rules, a fallback site, and the single-source preference.
The fallback site
The fallback site is where a line goes when the stock hard gate leaves nothing — no eligible site has stock for it.
Keeping an order together
Routing works line by line, so different lines on one order can end up at different sites. That is correct as far as each line goes, and often wrong for the order as a whole.
When a channel disagrees
A channel can tell Yessort which of its locations an order line is meant to come from. Your rules may reach a different answer. Something has to decide which wins.
Changing a routing decision
Routing runs when an order arrives, or when a draft order is confirmed. What happens afterwards, if the answer is wrong?
