Connect Xero
Connecting creates the link Yessort posts through. Under Integrations in your organisation's settings; needs organisation-admin access.
Choose a Xero organisation
A Xero account can contain several organisations — separate sets of books, often for separate legal entities. A Yessort connection posts into exactly one, and you choose which.
Finish accounting onboarding
A connection on its own posts nothing. Yessort still needs to know which accounts and tax codes to use, and until it does, entries are held.
Map an accounting category
Mapping tells Yessort which account in your accounting system a kind of activity belongs to. Until it exists, entries needing that account are held rather than posted.
Map a tax category
Mapping resolves Yessort's description of how something is taxed to the code your accounting system uses.
Set an invoicing strategy
An invoicing strategy decides whether each order gets its own invoice or a day's orders are combined into one.
Set up payment methods
A payment method is how money reaches you. A gateway is what a channel calls it. Setting up means creating the first and mapping the second onto it.
Resolve a failed post
Failed posts, under Accounting, holds entries that were sent to the provider and did not succeed — rejected outright, or retried until the attempts ran out.
Resolve an accounting issue
Issues, under Accounting, holds entries Yessort could not build — because there is no connection, or an account they need is not mapped.
Resolve a reconciliation exception
Exceptions, under Accounting, lists documents where Yessort's records and the provider's no longer agree.
Reconcile a gateway payout
A payment processor pays a lump into your bank covering many payments at once. Reconciling it confirms the money you expected arrived, and explains the gap between gross sales and what landed.
Check what was posted
Every successful post is recorded against the thing that caused it, so you can go from an order or a receipt to the documents it produced.
Correct a mis-posted order
Something posted, and it went somewhere wrong — the wrong account, the wrong tax treatment, or the wrong amount.
Review COGS postings
Cost of goods sold records what the stock you sold cost you. Without it, revenue lands with no cost against it and your margin is meaningless.
