Activate a channel
Activating is the last step of connecting a store. It subscribes Yessort to the store's events and puts the channel live.
Needs organisation-admin access.
Before you activate
Check that the store's locations are mapped, with a sensible default — every order line without a location hint goes to it.
Check that you have reviewed and committed the catalogue, and that the flagged rows were dealt with rather than skipped in a hurry.
Set the channel's Default price list. Without one, nothing is published to the store.
Activate
Complete the final step of the wizard. Yessort subscribes to the store's events and the channel goes live.
Orders begin arriving immediately. There is no quiet period.
What changes at this moment
Until now the store has been the source and Yessort has been filling itself in. From activation that reverses permanently: Yessort holds the stock figures and tells the store what to display. Everything in who owns your product data applies from here.
If listings were already linked
A reconcile runs, comparing the store's on-hand figures against yours. It books nothing — every difference is held for a person, however small.
That is deliberate. A store's reported on-hand includes units committed to open orders, so treating it as stock on the shelf creates units that do not exist. Work through what it found in resolve a stock reconcile review, and expect to spend real time on it at a cutover.
Pushing your catalogue to the store
Activating does not push your catalogue out. If you added variants in Yessort during onboarding that the store does not have, use Push full catalogue on the channel's Catalogue sync card to create them there.
First checks after going live
Watch the channel's sync activity for failed pushes over the first day — see check a channel's sync activity. Check the review queue, which the store will start feeding as products are edited there.
