Choose what the channel can change

By default Yessort is the sole authority on a linked variant, and the store may propose new products but not edit existing ones. These settings let you open that up, field by field.

On the channel's Catalogue settings under Integrations. Needs organisation-admin access.

Decide who edits where

The question behind every setting here is: when someone needs to change a price or a barcode, where do they go?

If the answer is Yessort, leave everything off. Yessort pushes out and the store displays what it is told.

If some people work in Shopify and expect their edits to stick, turn on the specific fields they touch. Otherwise their changes are silently overwritten by the next push, which is worse than either choice made deliberately.

Turning off staging

Stage new Shopify products for review is the one setting that is on by default. Turning it off stops the store proposing products entirely — right for a store fed by another system, where every proposal would be noise.

It only affects products Yessort has no link for. Edits to linked products are governed by the settings above, separately.

Take care with tax

Push tax category → Shopify taxable re-asserts Yessort's tax categorisation across your entire catalogue on the store, in one go. A variant whose Yessort tax category is wrong will have that wrongness pushed out.

Before turning it on, check that your tax categories are actually right. It is safe once the data it propagates is correct, and only then. Nothing flows the other way — the store's taxable value is never read back.

What is not covered

The product image. When a newly linked product has no image in Yessort, the store's is copied across. That copy only ever fills an empty field and never replaces one, so it carries none of the overwrite risk these settings guard against — and gating it would mean newly linked products never picked up a cover image.

Per channel, not per organisation

Every setting here belongs to one channel. Two stores can be configured oppositely: one where Shopify is where prices are edited, one where Yessort is. Full table in inbound and outbound settings.
