Map Shopify locations to sites
A Shopify "Location" is a building, so it maps to a Yessort site — never to a Yessort location, which is a spot inside a site.
This decides two things: which stock figure is published where, and which site an incoming order line is fulfilled from.
It is part of connecting a store, and can be changed afterwards under Locations in the channel's settings. Both need organisation-admin access.
Steps
- Yessort lists each Shopify location it found. Against each, choose the Yessort site it means.
- Leave a location unmapped to ignore it. Nothing is published there and anything the store sends about it is dropped. Use this for a location that has nothing to do with the stock Yessort manages.
- Mark one mapping as the Default. This is used for order lines that do not say which location they came from.
- Save.
Choosing the default
Pick the site you would fulfil from if nobody told you otherwise — usually your main warehouse.
It matters more than it looks. Orders often arrive with no location hint at all, and every one of those goes to the default. A default pointing at a shop with little stock will route work to the wrong place all day.
If the store has no locations
Yessort cannot continue. Add a location in Shopify under Settings → Locations, then come back and refresh.
Locations that appear later
Yessort notices locations it has not seen before and lists them under Unmapped Shopify locations. They are surfaced rather than guessed at: until you map or ignore one, no stock routes to it.
Check this after anyone adds a location in the store, otherwise stock silently never reaches it.
If the store deactivates a location
Yessort stops publishing there but keeps the mapping, so reactivating it in the store restores it without any work from you. This only affects that location on that channel — the same Yessort site carries on serving your other channels normally.
