Publish a variant to a channel

Publishing creates the link between a Yessort variant and a listing on the channel, so the channel can sell it and Yessort can send it a price and a stock figure.

Publish one variant

  1. Open the variant.
  2. In its listings, choose the channel to publish it to.
  3. Save.

The link is created and the variant is pushed. Its status moves from not pushed to pending, then to synced once the channel confirms — see channel sync statuses.

Decide how new variants behave

A channel's Publish mode decides what happens to variants created from now on. It is on the channel's Catalogue settings and needs organisation-admin access.

ModeBehaviour
Manual — opt-in per variantNothing is published unless you choose it. Where every channel starts
Auto — publish every new variantEvery variant created in the organisation is linked and pushed

Choose auto when the channel should carry everything you sell. Choose manual when a channel carries a subset — a trade store, or a store for one brand.

Changing the mode affects variants created afterwards. It is not a bulk action on what you already have.

Your own choices still win

Publish mode is a default, not a rule. If you unlist a variant from a channel set to auto, it stays unlisted — Yessort does not put it back on the next sync.

Publishing everything at once

To push your whole catalogue to a store — after onboarding, or after a spell where pushes were failing — use Push full catalogue on the channel's Catalogue sync card. It creates listings for variants that do not have one yet.

What is published with it

The price from the channel's default price list, and the barcode, both at the unit of measure on the link. A variant can be sold per-each on one channel and per-case on another, each with its own price and barcode. See what Yessort sends to a channel.
