Set a channel's defaults
A channel's defaults decide how orders placed against it are priced, where they are fulfilled from, and what the store tells the customer.
Under Integrations in your organisation's settings. Needs organisation-admin access.
Currency
The currency of prices and orders on this channel. It should match what the store actually sells in — a mismatch prices everything wrongly rather than failing visibly.
Default price list
Which prices Yessort publishes to the store.
Nothing is published until you set one. If a newly connected channel is not showing prices, this is the first thing to check.
Customer-account and customer-group overrides still apply on top. They are worked out when the order arrives rather than when the price is published, so the storefront shows this list and the order carries the customer's own price.
Default fulfilment site
Where orders allocate from when nothing else decides.
Worth care: orders frequently arrive with no location hint at all, and every one of them lands here. Point it at the site you would fulfil from if nobody told you otherwise — usually your main warehouse, not a shop.
An incoming line that does carry a location hint uses the location mapping instead.
Trading brand
The brand orders from this channel render under. An order's own brand takes precedence over the channel's, and the channel's over the organisation's — so setting it here only matters when a channel sells under a different brand from the rest of the organisation.
Email customer on dispatch
Whether dispatching in Yessort asks the store to email the customer its shipping confirmation, with the tracking numbers.
Off by default. The fulfilment is still posted to the store either way; the difference is only whether the store emails. Turn it on when the store should be the thing that tells the customer their parcel is on its way — and check nothing else is already emailing them, or they will get two.
It applies only to dispatches Yessort initiates. A dispatch the store reports to Yessort is not pushed back.
Making a channel inactive
An inactive channel stays visible with its history and settings but takes no new orders and syncs nothing. Use it to stop selling somewhere without losing the record of what was sold.
Disconnecting
The Danger zone on a connection's page has Disconnect. It asks you to confirm. Disconnect ends the store relationship; making the channel inactive is the reversible option and is usually what you want first.
