Unlist a variant from a channel

Unlisting removes the link between a Yessort variant and its listing on one channel. The variant keeps its stock, its history and its listings everywhere else — only that channel stops selling it.

Steps

  1. Open the variant.
  2. In its listings, remove the channel you want it off.
  3. Save.

Yessort asks the store to take the listing off sale.

If it is the last variant on the listing

Unlisting the only variant still listed leaves a product with nothing to sell, so the whole listing is archived in the store as well. That is expected, not a side effect to be undone.

It stays off, even on an automatic channel

If the channel is set to publish every new variant automatically, unlisting still holds. Yessort does not put it back on the next sync — a choice you make for a single variant outranks the channel-wide setting.

What will not bring it back

If someone later archives the product in the store and then makes it active again, Yessort restores the listings that came off because the product was archived. It never restores a variant you deliberately unlisted.

The reasoning: the merchant reactivating a product says nothing about one variant you chose to stop selling while its siblings stayed on sale. Restoring it would quietly undo your decision.

So to sell it there again, publish it to the channel yourself.

Unlisting is not archiving

Unlisting affects one channel. Archiving a variant in Yessort takes it out of your catalogue everywhere and stops it selling on every channel at once.

If you want something off one store but still selling elsewhere, unlist it. See unlisting and relisting.

Taking a whole channel off instead

To stop selling somewhere entirely, make the channel inactive rather than unlisting variant by variant — see set a channel's defaults.
