Add a site

A site is the top-level home for stock — a warehouse, a shop, or a virtual holding site. Add one whenever you bring a new physical location, or an in-transit holder, into Yessort.

  1. Go to Sites, then select New site.
  2. If you belong to more than one organisation, pick the Organisation the site belongs to.
  3. Enter a Name for the site (for example, "Main warehouse"). You don't need to set a code — Yessort generates one from the name automatically.
  4. Choose the type:
    • Warehouse — has addressable child locations (bins, shelves, pallet spaces); stock is tracked at the location level.
    • Shop — created with a single main location that Yessort sets up for you; stock is tracked in it, and you don't add or edit locations on a shop.
    • Virtual — a non-physical holding site, for example stock in transit between two other sites.
  5. Add the address (line 1, line 2, city, postcode, country). Address fields are optional — leave them blank for a virtual site, since it doesn't have a physical location.
  6. Select Create site.

You'll land on the new site's page. For a warehouse, add its locations next.

Reorder sites

Once an organisation has two or more sites, a Reorder button appears on the Sites page next to New site.

  1. On the Sites page, select Reorder.
  2. Drag rows by the handle into the order you want.
  3. Select Save order.

This sets the order sites appear in across lists and pickers throughout the app.
