Clear held-back stock
Use this when units are sitting in a site's NO-RESTOCK location and
you have decided what they are. For how they got there, see
held-back stock.
Find what is held
Open the site's locations, open NO-RESTOCK, and read what it holds.
You can also come at it from the variant — see
check a variant's stock.
Decide, per variant
Either the goods are sound and you want them back on sale, or they are not and you are writing them off. Nothing was written off when they arrived, so both routes are still open to you.
Put them back on sale
Move the stock from NO-RESTOCK to a pickable location. On-hand does
not change; Available goes back up, and the store's figure follows on the
next availability pass. See move stock.
Or write them off
Adjust the stock out of NO-RESTOCK, choosing the reason that fits.
This is the point at which the value leaves the books. See
adjust stock and
adjustment reasons.
If the location shows a negative figure
That is expected where the refund declined restock on units that were never really there. Correct it through negative-stock recovery rather than a fresh adjustment — see recover negative stock.
