Inventory overview
Inventory is the live record of how much stock you have and where it is. Yessort tracks quantities per variant, per bin location, so you always know what's available to sell and where to find it.
Key quantities
- On hand — the total physical stock currently in your warehouse.
- Reserved — stock allocated to orders that haven't shipped yet.
- Available — what's left to sell (on hand minus reserved).
Receiving stock
When new stock arrives:
- Go to Inventory → Receive.
- Choose the variant and the bin location it's going into.
- Enter the quantity received.
The quantity immediately becomes part of your on hand and available totals.
Bin locations
Bin locations let you split stock across shelves, racks, or zones within a warehouse. Tracking stock by bin makes picking faster and stocktakes more accurate — your team knows exactly where to go.
Adjustments and stocktakes
Real warehouses drift from the system: damage, miscounts, and shrinkage happen. Use adjustments to correct a quantity, and periodic stocktakes to reconcile the system against a physical count.
