Pack a fulfilment group
- Open the order and go to its Packing card. It appears once a fulfilment group has been picked — there's nothing to pack before that.
- Select Add box for each parcel you're boxing the order into, then enter its Weight (g) and, if you want them recorded, its L (cm), W (cm) and H (cm), and select Save.
- If you need to repack, select Edit on a box to change its weight or dimensions, or the trash icon to remove it.
- Once every box is added, select Confirm packed.
A consignment can hold several parcels — the goods going out together in one delivery — and it can cover more than one order where two orders to the same address have been combined. Confirming the pack only moves the group on to packed; it doesn't generate anything by itself, which is why the packing slip is printed as a separate step below.
Print the packing slip
The card also gives you the packing slip for the consignment:
- Packing slip opens the warehouse copy as a PDF in a new tab.
- Print sends the warehouse copy straight to a document printer set up for the site — if there isn't one, it's queued for you to assign a printer to instead.
- Customer copy opens the customer-facing version.
The packing slip renders fresh each time from what's currently allocated to the group — it is not generated automatically when you confirm the pack, nothing is saved, and you can reprint it at any point, as many times as you need.
Permissions
Packing is gated on the same permission set as picking, not the order one — warehouse staff can pack with read-only access to orders.
