Process a customer return
Use this once goods have come back from an order Yessort has already dispatched.
Open the return
- Open the order and go to its Returns card.
- Under Start a return, enter the quantity coming back on each line — you can't enter more than was dispatched on that line.
- Choose the site the goods are coming back into.
- Add a reason if it helps, in the free-text box.
- Select Open return.
The return appears with each line requested, and the order's fulfilment status now reads Returned.
Receive the goods
When the parcel arrives, select Receive on each line that turned up. A line that never arrives can be cancelled while it's still requested. You can't decide what happens to a line until it's been received.

Restocking and scrapping both raise a credit note; rejecting never does — it's the thing people get wrong, so it's worth remembering as a rule on its own. The credit value was fixed from the order line's price when the return was opened, so later edits to the order don't change it.
Choosing where the stock goes
On a received line, the restock-destination list defaults to Returns location (default) — the receiving site's returns location. Pick a specific location from the list to send the stock elsewhere instead. If a warehouse site has no returns location set, Yessort asks you to choose one before the restock goes through; set a returns default on the site to stop being asked.

Permissions
You need permission to update orders to open or process a return — unlike packing and dispatch, which run on the inventory permissions.
