Fulfilment group and shipment statuses
Fulfilment group status

Picking (picking) | A picker has started. |
Picked (picked) | All allocations fulfilled. |
Packed (packed) | Contents boxed into parcels. |
Dispatched (shipped) | Goods have left the site. |
Delivered (delivered) | Courier confirmed delivery. |

The stored value for dispatched is shipped, and some screens still show
that raw value; the button you press is Confirm dispatched.
This table covers the whole outbound chain — the same seven values apply to a consignment as to a fulfilment group.
Pick run status
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
Open (open) | Claimed, not started. |
Picking (picking) | First confirm landed. |
Completed (completed) | Picker finished, possibly with short picks — shortfalls released back to the queue. |
Cancelled (cancelled) | Abandoned; unpicked items released, confirmed picks stand, because they are real stock movements. |
Shipment status

Pending (pending) | No label yet. |
Label requested (label_requested) | Carrier call in flight. |
Label created (label_created) | Labels and tracking stored. |
Label failed (label_failed) | Retries exhausted — buy again or pick another carrier. |
Cancelled (cancelled) | Voided at the carrier or abandoned. |
Only one label attempt is live at a time; a cancelled or failed attempt is kept for the record and you can buy again.

These are the courier's own updates, reported back against the shipment.
Courier tracking updates are available but off by default, because some carrier contracts charge per tracking call. Ask us to switch tracking polling on for your account; once it's on, the shipment's latest courier status shows on the order and a delivered shipment marks itself delivered.
Labels are produced as either ZPL or PDF.
