Pick methods
A pick queue's method decides how a run is organised and how a picker carries the stock.

Single order (single) | A run of one consignment's worth of lines — everything going out together for one order. One order at a time. | Large or fragile orders, and low volume. |
Pile (batch, one tote) (pile) | Several orders' lines picked together into one tote, sorted afterwards. | High volumes of single-line orders. |
Cluster (tote per order) (cluster) | Several orders picked together, each into its own tote position, so no sort step is needed afterwards. | Mixed multi-line orders. |
Two-stage (fetch to bench) (two_stage) | Stock is fetched from designated zones to a bench, then picked into orders there. | Stock that sits far from the packing area. |
Where each method is available
All four methods can be set on a pick queue. Supervisor hand-built runs currently offer single, pile and cluster.
Totes
Registering totes for a warehouse site upgrades cluster runs from numbered cart positions to labelled containers. Registering none is a perfectly good supported state — runs keep using numbered positions either way.
