Change an order's fulfilment site

Routing runs once, when the order arrives or when a draft is confirmed. Changing the result afterwards is possible in specific ways, and not in others.

There is no re-route action

Yessort does not offer a way to run the routing engine again over an existing order and move it somewhere else. Editing your rules will not do it either — an order keeps the rule set version that routed it, and that is never re-evaluated.

So the options below are what is actually available.

A line with no site — do this promptly

A line the engine could not assign lands in the order review queue as no fulfilment site.

This one is urgent, for a reason that is easy to miss: an unassigned line does not reserve its stock. Until you set a site, the stock it needs is unprotected and can be allocated to another order.

  1. Open the review queue from the Orders need review notification in the bell menu.
  2. Find the order flagged with no fulfilment site.
  3. Set the site.

Restructuring fulfilment groups

On a group that has not started picking, you can carve lines off into a new group at the same site, or merge planned groups back into one. Use Restructure groups on the order's Fulfilment groups card. It needs permission to update orders.

Once a group is underway, its lines are fixed. See fulfilment groups.

An order assigned to the wrong site

If it has not started picking, handle it as a fulfilment-group change rather than expecting routing to be redone.

If it has started, the routing decision is effectively settled — the practical options are operational rather than a matter of changing the assignment.

Fixing the cause

Since correcting after the fact is limited, the leverage is in the rules. If orders keep landing at the wrong site, change the rules so the next ones do not — the change applies to orders routed afterwards and disturbs nothing in flight.

The routing exceptions queue is the best signal of where rules and reality diverge, when your channels supply location hints.
