Commingled stock

This page is for both the facility operator and brand tenants at a shared site — commingling is what happens when several organisations' stock of the same shared anchor sits in the same location. Each organisation's stock stays on its own books throughout: commingling is physical, not financial. Nothing about it merges what one organisation owns into another's.

What the location page shows

Open a location on a shared site and its contents are listed one row per owning organisation and variant. An Owner column shows which organisation each row belongs to. An Anchor column sits alongside it, but only appears at all when at least one row in that location has an anchor — a location with no anchored stock doesn't show the column.

What you see follows your memberships, not your role

The rows you see at a location are the rows belonging to the organisations you're a member of — not whichever rows the site's roles would suggest. The operator role grants no extra visibility: an operator sees exactly what any member sees, no more. In practice, an operator's own staff are usually members of the tenant organisations sharing the site too, which is why an operator normally does end up seeing the whole picture at a shared location — but that's down to their memberships, not their role. A brand tenant sees its own rows because that's the organisation it's a member of, not because of anything the brand tenant role restricts.

What the operator role actually gives you is authority over the site, not extra sight — see who owns the layout.

The Owners figure follows the same rule

The location page also shows an Owners count, and it's the same mechanism as above, not a separate surprise: it counts only the organisations you belong to, not every organisation that actually holds stock there. A location genuinely owned by three organisations can show Owners: 1 if you only belong to one of them. This is a known live defect in this area of the app, and it's worth knowing about rather than trusting the number at face value.
