Respond to an anchor request

This is for whichever organisation curates the shared site both organisations belong to — usually the facility operator, and normally a neutral third party rather than either side of the trade. When two organisations trading at your site each onboard a product that turns out to share a barcode, Yessort raises a request asking you, as curator, to confirm the two products are the same and create a shared anchor linking both variants. Your own organisation doesn't need a matching product of its own — curating is a distinct role from trading.

Where to find it​

This screen has no entry in the sidebar. The only way in is the Requests control on the Anchors list — it's a link styled as a button, not something you'll find by browsing the sidebar on its own. Selecting it takes you to Anchor requests, listing every pending request routed to your organisation; a badge next to Requests shows how many are waiting.

Review and respond​

  1. Go to Anchors in the sidebar, then select Requests.
  2. Each pending request shows both organisations' product name and SKU, the barcode they share, and an editable Anchor name field — pre-filled with the product name of the trading counterpart already established at your site, not the organisation now onboarding. It falls back to the onboarding organisation's own product title only if that name isn't available. Either way, it's yours to change before approving.
  3. To confirm the two products are the same, edit the Anchor name if you want to, then select Approve & link. This creates the shared anchor and links both organisations' variants to it in one step.
  4. To decline, select Reject instead. Nothing is created, and the requesting organisation keeps its own, unlinked variant.

Approve & link is disabled until the Anchor name field has something in it.

Only requests where your organisation is the curator appear here — a request routed to a different curator won't show up, even if your organisation is one of the two trading. See anchors for what a shared anchor unlocks once it exists.
