Who sees what
This is a reference for anyone at a shared site, whichever side you're on. A shared site has two kinds of member — the facility operator that runs the building, and one or more brand tenants holding stock there — and this table is where to check whether a control you can't find is meant to be there for your role at all, or isn't yours to have.
What each role can do

Two of these rows look like role differences and aren't. Publishing supply and settling an intercompany transfer balance depend only on your organisation holding the right permission — and, for settling, on your organisation being one of the two parties — never on whether it holds the facility operator or brand tenant role at a site. Settlement periods are different again: creating or seeing one requires an active operator site membership, checked across your whole organisation rather than at any one site — so an organisation that has never operated any site cannot create one, and a brand tenant cannot see one at all, even a period that concerns stock it holds.
Running a commingled cycle count also has a second condition beyond the role check: your organisation must hold stock at that specific bin for the Count this bin control to appear at all. A facility operator that holds no stock there won't see it either, role notwithstanding.
Who sees the site's stock
Stock visibility doesn't follow either role. What you see — on the variants grid, at a location, anywhere stock is listed — is the stock owned by the organisations you personally belong to, nothing more. The facility operator role grants no extra visibility: an operator sees exactly what any member sees. In practice, the people running a shared site are often members of every tenant organisation on it too, which is why an operator's own staff usually do see the whole picture — but that's down to their memberships, not their role.
