Create and move a licence plate

Creating a plate

  1. Go to Inventory → Licence plates.
  2. Select Create LPN. This opens a sheet titled "Create licence plate."
  3. Fill in Site, Type (Pallet, Carton or Gaylord) and Barcode (optional).
  4. Select Create & print.

The plate's label prints automatically once it's created — there's no template to set up first. A plate can also be created against a line while receiving a delivery; see receive a delivery.

Moving a plate

  1. From Licence plates, select Scan to move.
  2. Scan the plate at Scan licence plate.
  3. Scan the destination at Scan destination bin.
  4. Select Move plate.

A closed plate and an empty plate are both refused here — there's nothing to move.

If the destination breaks one of its own rules — its maximum units, or a setting that limits it to one SKU or one lot — the move stops and says which rule. Type a reason and select Move anyway to go ahead; the reason is recorded against the movement.

You can also move a plate from its own page: open the plate and use the Move button under "Move plate to a bin."

Other controls

  • Label reprints the plate's label from the register list.
  • Reprint does the same thing from the plate's detail page.
  • Close is enabled only once the plate is empty.

For what a licence plate is and where it applies, see licence plates.
