Put away a goods receipt

  1. Go to Inventory → Putaway. Each row is a goods receipt waiting to be placed, oldest first.
  2. Select Claim on a pending task, or Resume on one you or someone else has already claimed.
  3. For each line, scan or type the location into Destination bin. If a suggestion is shown, select Use to fill the field with it instead of scanning.
  4. Adjust Qty if you're placing less than the full remaining quantity.
  5. Select Confirm.

Repeat for every line. The task is complete once every line has been placed in full.

Placing less than the full quantity

Enter a smaller number in Qty than what's remaining and select Confirm — the line stays open with the rest still to place, rather than closing early.

Splitting one line across several locations

To split a line, confirm it once with a smaller quantity and a location, then confirm again with a different location for what's left. Repeat as many times as you need; the line only finishes once its full quantity has been placed somewhere.

Scanning

A scan in Destination bin is matched against the location's barcode first, then its code. Either works, so a printed barcode that differs from the shelf label still resolves — and you can type the human-readable code instead when there's nothing to scan.

Landing on a task you haven't claimed

If you reach a putaway task without going through the queue — a bookmark, the browser's back button, or a link someone sent you — and it hasn't been claimed, the screen shows a Claim control instead of the scan form. Select it to claim the task and start placing. Stock can only be placed against a claimed task.
