Set up a replenishment policy

1. Go to Inventory → Replenishment. The New policy card on that screen is where you build one.
2. Choose the Site, the Pick face to top up, and the Variant the policy is for.
3. Set Min units — the level a pick-face replenishment task is raised below — Max units — the level it tops up towards — and Increment.
4. Select Create policy.

A few rules apply when you create one:

• The Site list only offers warehouse sites running in advanced locations mode. Pick faces are an advanced-mode idea, so a shop, a virtual site or a simple-mode warehouse can't hold a policy. If the list is empty, no site in your organisation is set up for one yet.
• The location you pick as the pick face has to actually be set up as one — you can't create a policy against ordinary storage.
• Max units must be at least Min units.
• Increment must be at least 1.
• Only one policy can exist for a given variant at a given pick face.

Changing the thresholds later

Select the pencil icon on a policy row to edit its Min units, Max units and Increment. The same rules are checked again when you save, so a combination that wouldn't have been allowed at creation is refused here too. The policy keeps its row — you don't need to delete and rebuild it to change a number.

The three row controls

Each policy row on the list has three controls:

• The toggle turns the policy active or inactive. An inactive policy is skipped by the automatic sweep and by on-demand generation, but it still exists — turn it back on to resume it. This is the safer choice if you only want to pause a policy for a while.
• The pencil icon opens the thresholds for editing.
• The trash icon deletes the policy. You're asked to confirm first, and the policy is only deleted once you accept.

If you're not sure whether to delete, reach for the toggle first: you can always delete a policy later, but a deleted one has to be rebuilt from scratch.
