Warehouse operations
Warehouse operations covers what happens to stock once it's already on a site: moving it to another site, placing it after it arrives, keeping pick faces topped up, counting it, and handling stock that travels as a licence plate.
Location mode decides what you see
Every warehouse site runs in one of two location modes: simple or advanced. The mode is set per site, and it decides which of the areas below your organisation can even see. Putaway, Replenishment and Licence plates only appear in the sidebar once at least one of your sites is using advanced locations — on a simple-mode-only organisation they aren't there at all, not disabled, not empty. Transfers and Counting need only read access to inventory, so both are visible everywhere. See simple and advanced locations before you go looking for a screen you can't find.
The five areas
Transfers move stock between two of your own sites — warehouse to shop, warehouse to warehouse. A transfer holds stock at the source, dispatches it, and only lands on hand at the destination once it's received. See how transfers work.
Putaway is the step between a goods receipt landing and the stock being sellable, on a site using advanced locations. Posting a receipt raises a task that directs each received line out of the receiving location and into storage. See how putaway works.
Pick-face replenishment moves stock already at a site from reserve locations into its pick faces, so a picker never finds one empty. It runs on advanced-mode sites, driven by the minimum, maximum and increment set on a replenishment policy. See how pick-face replenishment works.
Counting reconciles a physical count against what Yessort expects at one location, without stopping the rest of the warehouse to do a full stocktake. It works on both simple and advanced sites. See how counting works.
